Hello

I currently have 5 payday loans all from online companies.

Cash jar $1,000 principle paid $750.00
Ameriloan $450 principle paid $135.00
500 fast cash $350 principle paid $105.00
Ace $400 principle paid 121.50
Impact solutions (spot on) $ 500 principle paid $0

I will not be able to make the payments on this Wednesday and plan to go to Chase and close my account today. Will closingmy account work?
Should I contact paylessdebt.com to handle repayment or can I facilitate this myself without them calling my employer etc?

thanks!!

Closing your account will work in most cases unless your bank has a policy of forcing open accounts for electronic withdrawals. Read the sticky on the Payday Loan forum main page!
You can work this out yourself if you are thick skinned but expect to deal with all kinds of harrassment including calling your employer sometimes! Make sure you send a wage assignment revocation letter to each of the lenders and show it to your employer! Texas is a non garnishment State so you will have better leverage when it comes to working with them. Ace is the only one that I believe is even licensed to lend in Texas!

I keep getting calls at work for Schwartz, Goldberg & Associates along with others that state they are investigators for TenDollarPaydayLoan.com. I too got in some serious debt trying to pay off these loans and along with my banks assistance was able to close my account. I have paid most of them off but don't think this was one of them. They are offering to settle for what I borrowed but only will accept my account number to do this. I told them I would pay by Western Union or by one of those pre-paid Visa and they said it must be by my personal account. They claim they are listed with the Federal Government Affairs but I can not find them nor in BBB. They tried to get me to say I refused to pay this so they can advise their client (First American Credit Solutions) to file against me today. I plan on seeking legal advice but I will not give them my account information as my banker has advised. Can they do this since I did not say I would not pay but offered to pay in another way. Of course it is just my word, but they claim to be recording me. I told them to fax me all this information they have and all I got was how they expect me to pay. Any advise. Their web sit is schwartgoldberg.com
