Can anyone tell me if they have received phone calls from 818-564-4206. I have been receiving calls from this number telling me that the orignal payday loan creditor has written off my loan as a loss and now are filing charges against me for fraud, theft and something else. They keep telling me that by 11 am tomorrow I will be arrested and facing a legal mess. It is some hard to understand the person who is talking. He calls himself Alex and says he is filing charges against me with my state's attorneys office. I am in the process of filing bankruptcy and this debt is included. He is telling me that I can't include this on my bankruptcy because they are filing criminal charges against me. When I try asking for there address they won't give it to me. Should I just ignore this guy and go on with my bankrutcy or can I be arrested? He is saying he has proof that I stole this money. The fact is that I took out to many payday loans and got in way over my head. My husband became disabled and lost his job so we really felt we had no other choice but to file bankruptcy. This guy keeps telling me he has all the proof that I committed fraud.

Thank for that reassurance. I really needed that. They scared the crap out of me. I thought what they were saying was illegal but I wasn't sure. They started threatening to contact my employer and that I would more than likely lose my job. They wanted my lawyers name, address and phone # so they could send him all the documentation they have compiled against me. Then this guy who called himself Alex and had a very heavy accent started reading me my rights about I have the right to have an attorney appointed to me if I could not afford one. I looked up the number that this guy called from and it belongs to a residence and it gave the name of the person this number belongs too. I tried calling the number and I got an answering machine with a womans voice stating Mark and Eva are not home right please leave a message. How can these people use other people's phone numbers? Do they hack into their phone line somehow? Really weird scary experience. They were threatening to call my employer also. Anyway thanks again for your reassurance. Helps make me feel better.
