impact cash

I had a loan with impactcash, or at least they tell me i did. I thought i paid them off over two years ago. I got a call from them, or someone on there behalf yesterday saying i owe them 3200. I thought i paid them off, but if i did not i am sure i did not borrow that much money. what recourse do i have to settle this. they are saying that they are going to serve me papers today which i dont mind cause it may give me a chance to see when and if this is me or someone maybe getting info off my old laptop and scamming. Am i ok or wrong in my approach

This is a scam. Do not give these people any money. Do not give them your bank account info or your credit card info or your ss#. Ask them to send you proof of this debt in writing. If they refuse, tell them to FOAD and file a police report.
If you do a search on this forum, you'll find this has happened to many people. Don't panic and don't fall for their crap!

Thank you so much for your help. I have been looking all over the house for anything from them and I have found nothing. The server guy told me he would be here in two hours and that was two hours ago. I want to take care of this but i think you are right this is a scam. thanks again
