I need some help. I had 5 payday loans out with the following companies: East Side lenders $575.00 paid back $690.00; ccs a.ka. money 2 advance $400.00 paid back $620.00; united cash loans $250.00 paid back $225.00; Integrity advance $600.00 paid back $144.00; & cash advance network $500.00 paid back $150.00... I sent all C&D letters, called the FTC, BBB, etc. So far money to advance sent me a refund for the amount i overpaid. and so far Integrity called me saying I owe 913.00 I said i can pay the principle if they send me an address, but she said no. I haven't heard anything else from them. United cash loans just left a message and so did Eastern Lenders. And Cash Advance Network has an agency called ARM of florida calling me and harrassing me saying that i signed the agreement and it says that i must abide by their state not by mine and i owe them $850.00 and they will only settle for 560.00 so i said i would be willing to pay the principle and i told her it was $350.00 since i already made a payment of $150.00 and she said no they will only accept $560.00 and payment arrangements can be made but for the balance of $850.00. needless to say this Ashley Randolph keeps calling my job and asking to speak to my supervisor. What can I do, or better question what can they do.

Well, ARM is a bottom feeder used by most illegal lenders. For the most part all they can do is harass you, but, it would be in your best interest to educate yourself on your rights. Since ARM is a third party collector they are bound by the FDCPA laws, so my suggestion is to read up on it so you will know what to say when they do call. I will give you a couple of links so you can review it.
