Attach Copy of State Laws

As PDLs are illegal in my state (Connecticut), when I started the process of ending the PDL cycle and was sending letters to the illegal PDL companies, I attached a copy of my state laws. I also told them if they had any questions regarding my closing my bank account they could contact the CT Dept. of Banking (and provided the phone number) who would be more than happy to discuss the illegality of their PDLs, or it was better for them, I would have the CT Dept. of Banking call them. This seemed to work quite nicely. I received 3 PIF emails in one day. Haven't heard from any of the others except Pay Day Loan Yes who called for a few months. Once the CT Dept. of Banking sent them a letter, haven't heard a word. It's worth a try to get these people off your backs. I am now PDL free and it is fantastic. Could not have done it without this forum.
