Perfectly normal. They'll start having "the federal collection agency" people calling you next! Did you file your complaints with the BBB and the AG? You may get a response from them that way.

I thought I would give them a chance to do right by me first - silly idealistic notion I realize but I thought of it as a bargaining chip I should hang onto. I have informed them, though, that as of tomorrow I will be filing complaints with the AGs in AZ and DE and the BBB.

Hiilarious!! So I got tired of waiting for American Consumer Credit to respond so I called. After being transferred twice and kept on hold forever I was told my account is under review and no ACH transactions will occur until it's resolved. HMMMMM..do I believe them or not? Incidentially, they answered the phone Consumer Credit Services, so what are we changing our name to avoid bad mojo? Anyway, at least I know they received my letters and something is happening. Remains to be seen if they try and debit my account tomorrow.

Neither SureAdvance nor ACC debited my checking account today so I am hopeful this is on the way to resolution. Of course I could be wrong and it will come back to bite me in the a**, but for now I am simply happy to have most of my paycheck to myself for once. We'll see what next week brings.
