I currently live in Louisiana and have many PDLs, listed below. I know the first step is to close my checking account which I will go do Tuesday after I have a few checks clear. After I close my checking account, then what? I cannot find out which of the PLD lenders are legal in my state. Please help!! I am drowning in debt!

Current PDL

One Click Cash
500 Fast Cash
CashnetUSA
paydayone
magnumcash
paydaymax
discountadvances
speedycash

Any advice/help will be greatly appreciated!

magnum cash, discount advances and paydaymax are illegal in Louisiana. Don't pay them a dime more than the actual amount borrowed.

Close your account ASAP and send them a letter stating that you have revoked all ACH authorizations. Tell them you will pay only the principal amount via money order or cashier check. Along with this, you have to contact the legal companies and tell them that you've closed your account.

I can give ya advice on paydaymax....fax your C&D letter to them at 877-729-9682 and I also e-mailed it to Credit Protection Depot attn:William Reed at inquiries@creditprotectiondepot.com ----- I waited a few days and then called CPD at 866-645-1611 and was told that my loan was forgiven (since when you combined my loans I had way overpaid the principle) --- I then faxed my letter demanding a refund for illegal interest paid to their office in Canada (as directed to by CPD) at 403-770-8760....literally three hours later I got the call from them that they are ACH'ing the refund to my account today.

That's just the chain of events I went thru...started last friday. Hope that helps!
