First of all let me say thanks for all the good advice on this site. I sent out the illegal pdl letter, I have not heard from three of the companies. Payment Direct has already sent me a letter with my payoff amount minus the interest which means I only owe them $111 (yeah) one down five to go. I am having a problem with Great Sky Cash; they sent me an email saying that they were not governing by any state laws. Could that be possible? What do I do about the other companies the 48 hour deadline I gave them is almost up. Do I send another letter, call them or wait for them to call me? Thanks in advance for any help.

Great Sky Cash is using the same old BS. Tell them if they don't comply with you, you'll file cases against them. The others will also contact you, just wait. I would not advise you to waste money on these illegal PDL companies by sending them mails. Instead, you can send them emails/fax as well.

What Great Sky Cash is referring to is 'tribal laws", they do not have to comply with your state laws because they are bound by the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation 'tribal laws', the road goes both ways though, you aren't bound by their laws either. Unless of course they want to forfeit their laws and sue you in your state court, but then they would lose because they don't have the required licensing.
