I am following all of the stories on this forum. I was in serious payday loan hell. In two weeks, I have had $2600 declared paid in full. When they email me and say my loan is paid in full, yet I will never be able to borrow from them again, I thank God!
But there are some lenders not legally licensed in Texas and they are either just not contacting me, or contacting me by phone and wanting money that I do not have right now. Still getting caught up on real bills. What is a plan for the next steps.
These are the ones who have not contacted me
United Cash Loans--$500
500 Fast Cash--they say they want $910, original loan was $600
US Fast Cash--$500
I have had loans with all three of the above for years, I mean years!
Ace Cash is calling, I owe them $791.
Speedy Cash is sending letters from their lawyer. I owe them $1000.
And finally, Check n Go has turned me over to VCS for collections. Even though I refinanced several times and have paid $600 after defaulting, VCS says they will add in all back interest and turn me over to their legal department!!! I told her to call me back tomorrow. What do I say? Doesn't paying $600 show I am trying to clear this debt? Maybe not in their timing, but in mine. Please advise.

Did you close your account? UCL, 500 and USFC are all illegal. I'm sure you've overpaid them if you've been paying for years. You have to cut them off at the source. Ace and Speedy are legal in TX and you need to set up an arrangment with them. CnG is legal as well. You need to talk to someone at their corporate offices and set up a payment arrangement. Don't talk to the people at the storefronts. They are usually minimum wage idiots.
