Wage garnishment or wage assignment? Wage assignment is totally voluntary and you can revoke it at any time. In florida, head of household cannot be garnished.
247 greenstreet is not a legal lender so they are blowing smoke.
247 greenstreet is not a legal lender so they are blowing smoke.however get a WAGE ASSGINMENT REVOCATION letter to your HR or payroll person.once that is done then they can't do a thing except call and be stupid with the threats.i do have a couple of questions
1)how much was borrowed
2)how much was debited prior to default
you see being this an illegal lender you only are obligated to pay the principle.any debits go towards the loan.example:
you borrow 250.00.they debit three times for 75.00 you only owe 25.00 on the loan.try to recall this as you will be suprised by how little if anything you really do owe.
I had a "Wage Assignment" out against me and I sent a revocation
I had a "Wage Assignment" out against me and I sent a revocation letter to the lender and to my HR dept along with the Payroll dept. and that didn't help anything. My employer said that they would need a "release" from the creditor to stop the deductions. This just started and has not yet come out of my checks but is supposed to in 3 days. This is not a "garnishment" but an "assignment" and I AM the Head of Household in Florida. I don't know what else to do at this point, they are at least going to get that little bit of money out of the check.
