rec'vd a call from Steven Krause, I've been to have" mandated"and advising that he cannot be held accountable if I do not to call 866-402-4043, but calls from a 626 201 7642 which might be a cell number or "spoofing" a construction company, rec'vd a call the day before same 626 # but to call 877-252-0532 both with same claim number to give when I call, I had been close to giving money before had to get the police involved that was a total scam

they already broke a law with the call as that is a threat to get you on the phone.i wouldn't call them back instead use both numbers to file AG,AND FTC complaints.all i got from a google search is another post like yours so it sounds like a new bottomfeeder that popped up,but stick around for more replies.

I called the 800-402-4043 number back and only received a fast busy signal. I attempted to call the number a few times with the same response. I'm assuming they are a scam and if anyone gets a call from these numbers, ignore at all cost!!!

Received a phone call from a "Steven Krause" who claimed that I was "mandated" to return his call at 866-402-4043. Haven't seen any paperwork or legal materials from these bottom feeders and I have no intention of returning calls to someone who wants to be a punk on my answering machine. I was fooled once by creeps like these, and I won't let it happen again. No paperwork, no call. If they are legit (which I HIGHLY doubt) they should know my mailing address.

Same number with an extesion 866-402-4043, ext 53470 and the message said I was mandated to call Steven Krause. I called the number back and the person answered the phone saying callaghan and associates. If this is a real legal firm they are fools and do not know the laws in the state of TX.

why are they fools? because they are breaking FDCPA laws by making threats stating you are mandated? Is that considered a threat?

yes it is because nobody is"mandated" that is a slick term meant to scare people into calling so they can threaten the person.so yes those kind of messages should be treated as just that.illegal BS by an illegal BS bottomfeeder.

Got same call today from 410-505-7907. They left a VM saying that at this point I was Mandated to call Steven Krausse at 866-402-4043 but due to my lack of reponse they shall not be reliable for any circumstances that may arise.
I have never received any mail from these people whoever they are and who has Mandated me? Who?

Listen to what paulmergel says; these bottomfeeders use semi-legal sounding jargon and official sounding names to scare people into sending them money. If they call again, don't admit over the phone to owing any money, but tell them they MUST send you something in writing. I'm betting you'll never get a letter!

I get a call from a different number, saying that I or my recent attorney of record should call back. Deep Indian accent, time sensitive, blah blah blah....guess who got blocked on my smartphone. Worthless scum. Tell them you ARE an attorney and would like to discuss legal issues with them, bet they hang up real quick.

I got a call from a 4105057907 to call 8664024043 and ask for Steven Krause. And that I have been mandated blah blah blah >>>I havent been mandated but ive dated a man lls! But I asked for a letter to be sent to me he said it could only be emailed and that it cost his client 50 cent to send a letter. I said well I just wait for some legal info to come in the mail, he said no you will be served lol! Then I told him he was very unprofessional, he said this is a law firm not customer service hahaha and told me have a good day! LOSER......some kid that got kicked off his parents trust fund!!!!

I got a call from this number 866-402-4043, his name was Brad Owen, saying that I had a payday max loan out and I never had a payday max loan out. I need to know if this is a scam to get money out of me or if it's something else?!?!?!

Well, you should never give out any personal information to a voice over the phone, there are a lot of scams going on. Ask a lot of questions when someone calls you out of the blue claiming you owe them money, ask their name, the name of the company, their address, a direct phone number, ect., if the refuse to give you any info, or are vague about their replies it's more than likely a scam. "David Marshall" called and asked for me at work, I of couse said I wasn't there and he left this number for me to call back, but I won't. Just another debt collector, a debt I owed has been bought by these bottom feeders.

After getting threatening messages, I finally called 866-402-4043 back and was spoken to like a 4 year old from some clown that answered. He first told me I was going to be sued for a bad check and then told me I owed money for a loan - Which is it? Neither of which is true. When I told him to correspond with me via US Mail, he resisted. He also asked me if I still lived at a certain address that wasn't remotely close to where I live. No legitimate operation conducts business this way. I will be reporting them to my state's Attorney General's office.

I got several of these calls last week and told them I have not received any letters in the mail, despite their "numerous attemps to get ahold of me". They said they would return the claim to their client, then I got THREE different calls today saying they just got a claim in their office this morning and I am mandated to call back either Steve Kraus or Mark Davis, even though I spoke to Mark Davis last week!

You should call them and tell them not to call you at work. If they call you again, threaten to sue them because it's illegal for them to call your place of employment once you tell them to stop because it could endanger your job.

They tried a new approach today. they sent a text message to my cell phone that said: "I have been trying to get ahold of you. It's important so please call me at work at 1/866-402-4043." I do not know who it is, nor i am I going to respond to an anonymous text.

somehow they got my number and have been calling for a friend of mine claiming the same thing about owing money. However the number that calls me is 402-441-4331. Maybe this other number mite help out anyone else who has been recieving these calls.

i have also gotten calls and vm's and i am wondering if everyone gets the same number. mine was 34346575. feed back would be gtrat.
