okay today I received a phone call at work from some foreign man telling me I was reported to the state and going to be arrested unless I called someone. He said his name was John Michael and the Officer I was suppose to contact was a Daniel Richard. When I hung up with him I checked my cell phone and there were 4 calls from this person with messages threatening to arrest me at work or at home.

Has anyone else gotten calls from these people? Where did they get the info from ( they had my social security number ). I really dont know what to do . Any help would be apprieciated.

Collection company or.

They are either a collection company or payday loans collection department. If indeed they said exactly what you are saying and you have voicemails of them saying it you need to report them immediately to your states department of financial institutions. They broke a few laws and you should report them. Find out who called you and for what loan, then write to the loan company telling them to back off. There are samples of these cease & desist letters around this forum on the front page. Don't listen to them thought, they can't arrest you. You should tell them to come arrest you, tell them you will turn yourself in and they can meet you at your local police station. You can also find out where they are calling from and try to get reverse address info and call the local police station there and file a complaint. They have your social because they are calling about your payday loan. Have you stopped paying on a payday loan?
