Cash in a Wink is not legal in Ohio. You have paid more than the principal amount. This is why you should ask for a refund. The lady is just lying.

My previous poster is right. You are liable to pay them only the borrowed amount. Close your bank account asap to stop unauthorized withdrawal. Thanks for the responses. I just got another robo-call at work from the "Loss Prevention dept" saying they have not contacted my payroll dept but will proceed at 4:00 today (same thing it said last week) and click 1 to speak to a rep to discuss account or 2 if I am unwilling to work this out.

I closed my bank account a month ago so they have gone 2 pay periods with no payment. I also filed a complaint with the FTC last week and I keep sending the email and obviously they are not going to respond to it.

Just don't want to have to get my company involved if ABSOLUTELY necessary. Has anyone had them follow through on these threats; what were some others outcomes?!?!

well since you must give the wage assignment revocation letter to your HR/payroll person it really shouldn't be a problem as all that person has to do is hang up as for this illegal piece of garbage to do anything like garnish for real they would have to sue you in your town,county,village,or bourough.hard if not impossible for an illegal lender.i would if you haven't file AG,AND FTC complaints against cash in a wink.then ignore them and hang up on any further idiotic robo-calls beforethey even finish.you are under no obligation to listen to that,or any humanoid who calls and threatens.just hang up as one above me stated all they do is lie and threaten as that is all they have.nothing else.
