I had a PDL with Tior Capital and now they have sent it to collection I live in KY and online PDL's are illegal in my state. I have paid them way over the amount of the loan. What can I do now that it has gone to collection.

Hi,

Well, as far as I know, payday lending is legal in the State of Kentucky. It will be better if you could contact the Kentucky Office of Financial Institutions and checkout with them whether or not Tior Capital is licensed to operate in your state. You can even contact your pay day lender and ask them to withdraw the account from collections. If they are not licensed, then you will be liable for paying them only the principal balance. As you've paid them more than the principal balance, you should ask them for a refund of the extra amount.

If you find that your payday lender is licensed to operate in your state, then you will be liable for paying off the debts in full. In such a situation, you can go for the option of debt consolidation or debt settlement.

Take care

Yeah Savion is right. If the lender is not licensed in your state, then you are required to pay them only the principal amount. Illegal lenders won???t be able to take any legal action against you. Close your bank account asap so that they can???t debit money from your account in future. Check out the given page to know how to deal with illegal lenders:

the loan is illegal because tior is internet, and there is no physical presnce in the state.click the tab that sally gave and follow it.don't skip steps.do that and you will be fine.
