Any suggestions on what to do now? I filed a complaint with the BBB about Total Lending. What do I do about this collection agency? It's just begun...

I do owe them $210 on the principal, but that's it. No interest, no fees, because they're illegal in Oregon. Should I still send the debt validation letter anyway?
Also, should I send a cease and decist letter to both the original creditor and the collection agency via certified mail? Does anyone have a template for the cease and desist letter?
Thanks Roxy and thanks everyone for your help. :D

Have you filed your complaints with the Oregon Dept of Banking? They can also help you find out if this collection agency is licensed to collect in Oregon.

Also, I still have had no results getting a password. I do the sign in and it says my email already exists, so I put my email in "lost your password", and it says it sent a password to my email but I NEVER get it. I've emailed Vikas three times and another individual, but get no repsonse.
Try logging in using the default password - it's either 8 or 9 .

I solved my login problems last night. My error. My spam filter was deleting the password emails being sent to me so I never saw them. I turned it off and there it was!
Goudah - Thanks again for all your help. It is MUCH appreciated. Your urging me to close my bank account immediately literally saved me from being evicted last weekend. I cannot thank you enough. :D Brian in Oregon/ now "goldhelmet".
