Are all payday loans owned by tribal lenders?

I'm curious as to whether all payday loans are operated by tribal lenders or if some of them actually operate within the confines of the standard USA laws?

There are two types of lenders. Some operate within the confines of the standard USA laws. They are legal. Tribal lenders don't abide by the USA laws. Hence they are illegal.

It's best to not borrow payday loans from the tribal lenders. Storefront payday loans and loans originated from CSOs are still better.

A tip to know which lender is illegal

Look at the about us or contact us page of the payday loan website. If they belong to Chipewa tribe or other tribal organizations, you'll get that information from there only.

I totally agree with ditchdebt. We should try to avoid these illegal payday loan lenders as much as possible. There are some alternatives to payday loans that we can check - https://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/blog/question-of-the-week/alternatives-to-payday-loan.html
But if you still somehow borrowed money from illegal payday lenders, you can handle the situation cautiously, here's how - https://forums.debtcc.com/paydayloan/dealingwith-illegallenders.html

Actually, some of them are, some of them aren't. If u had an experience, can u tell whom of them worth trying as I need a $400 dollars loan?

The fact is, none of the payday lenders are worth trying. Payday loans have extremely high interest-rates, and it's extremely difficult to pay off them. If you really need $400, you can borrow it from a credit union. Alliant is a good option.

if it is urgent, then you can borrow the loan from a credit union. But, you should always try to save the money first instead of borrowing a big amount with a pretty high-interest rate. Just revisit your budget and cut down extra expenses to save more. Wait for some time to save the entire money to meet the purpose. It will not let you incur those costly payday loans.
