I was recently called yesterday by someone who calls themselves an "investigator" and the proceeded to tell me that i would be prosecuted if i didn't pay money for a payday loan that I recieved in 2008 and it would be considered fraud and i could face up to 3 yrs in federal. I live in the state of CT all payday loans ar ILLEGAL in this state.come to find out after i did some reasearch. So my question is, is any of this possible? or are they just trying to use tacticks to scare ppl into paying?

your last point said it.a big scam using illegal scare tactics.btw fraud is a crime and debts are civil, not criminal.report this idiot to your local police then ignore knowing the idiot can't do a thing they threaten.
