I took out a $ 300 loan in december with The seven group / CWB. I live in PA. Before my first payment was due, I closed my accounts and revoked ACH.
I sent them the email and offered a payment plan. They responded that they will accept the principal only, but they didn't accept my payment plan. They wanted the whole amount. I sent them $ 100 by money order, thats all I could afford at that time. I was panning on sending another $ 100 this month.
Last night I received a voicemail and an email from them, stating that since I have not paid the entire amount, they have turned it over to Miranda collections, and that I should not send them any more money. I should call Miranda Services instead.
How should I proceed? Do I wait until they call me and then request a debt validation letter?

Thanks for your help!

Dear Severn Group.

I live in the state of PA and payday loans are illegal in my state. Therefore anything I signed is null and void. Legally I owe you nothing. Morally I will pay back the principal on MY terms, not yours. Take it or leave it. You can threaten all you like but you know as well as I do what the laws are. Do not hand me any crap about signing for this loan over the web or that I am bound by the laws of your jurisdiction. Don't bother sending me to collections...I will simply send them a cease and desist letter. If they choose to violate my cease and desist, I will collect damages from them. Also, I forbid you from calling my employer, my family or anyone I know in regards to this account. I will communicate only via email. Should you choose to accept MY terms (actually there will be no other terms but mine) I will mail you money orders at my convenience.

Govern yourself according.

Dear Miranda Services

I hereby demand that you cease and desist any and all contact with me by ANY and ALL means. I also demand that you do not contact my employer, my family or friends.

You are collecting on an illegal loan. Payday loans are prohibited in my state of Pennsylvania thus the loan documents are null and void. Do yourself a favor and close and return the account. If you choose to violate this cease and desist, I will be more than happy to collect FDCPA violation damages from you in the amount of $1000.

Govern yourself accordingly.

Email this to severn....mail it to Miranda Services via CMRRR.
