I live in Salisbury MD, AND HAVE 7 payday loans.
UNITED CASH
TOTAL LENDING
AIP
UCFINANCIAL
NAT'L MONEY STORE
EASTSIDE LENDERS
500 FAST CASH

HELP,i get paid every 2 weeks and have not had a dime out of my pay since Feb 2008, when i got tied up in this mess.I am overdrawn by 488.00, right now and get pd on thurs 5.14.08...i do not know what to do

I will post the state laws for you. In MD these loans are illegal, so you are only obligated to repay exactly the amount that you borrowed. Please list how much you borrowed from each lender and the amounts that you have paid back to each .You will not be able to close your account because it is over drawn but you need to put a hard debit block on it asap so no more money can come out.

Prohibited. I had 5 when I came here in February. I am totally PDL free since beginning of May. Close your bank account. Get the C and D letter and send it out to the PDLs. I could copy over what I sent if you would like. Then file complaints with the AG, BBB and FTC and then contact their processors. Then let the PDL you have done all this. You should be PDL in no time at all, especially if you have already overpaid. Remember they are ILLEGAL in NYS. That is on your side.

I just signed up with PDL, but still feel sick to my stomach about this whole mess.

I see you recommended a hard debit block?

I have paid 5 of my loans in full by adding up the interest I pay each month! Help.

I'd recommend changing your bank account. The AG's office will confirm that you are not obliged to pay illegal lenders back at all and I highly recommend you call the office to confirm that they are, in fact, outright illegal and not pretending to be legal by claiming they are "CSOs".

Step two is reclaiming your money. This will likely require an attorney. If the lender required you to pay via pre-authorized electronic debit, debited to recover from an overdrawn account on multiple occasions, or changed the amount of a pre-authorized electronic debit without 10 days written notice, they could be in violation of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. You'll have to sue them to reclaim your money, but suing a payday lender is quite satisfying.
