I just got a call from someone (Chris Jenkins) claiming to be in the legal department of United Cash Loans saying that I owed United Cash Loan $495 and that my file was at the court house ready to file with a case against me and that I should be expected to be arrested. I told them that I had no knowledge of this debt and that they needed to provide me with the documentation showing me otherwise. Of course, they refused to do that. I told them that unless I got that information, I would not be handing over 495.00 to them. I have not had a PDL in over two years and I honestly believe that I paid them and I am sure that it was not United Cash Loan. Are there other companies under this umbrella?

first off united cash has supposed"tribal immunity"so they won't be able to take anything to court.so the idiot broke the law in stating the file was at the courthouse.so file a police report for the call, and if you haven't filed AG complaints againts united cash do so.you did the right thing in questioning and not paying this idiot.btw there are too many d/b/a's here are some.

tendollar payday
500fastcash
discountadvances
oneclickcash
usfastcash
ameriloan

any of those ring a bell?there are more.but i can't recall them right away.

I guess it???s a scam. If you don???t owe this debt, then you need not to worry regarding this matter. If they call you back, then tell them to stop making phone calls further. You can also file a complaint against them to the State Attorney General or FTC because of FDCPA laws violation. Under FDCPA laws, no CA is allowed to give a threat of being arrested because of non-payment of debt. Don???t share any personal information with them. There are many such companies under this umbrella. You can find out such companies through internet.

United Cash Loans is one of the lowest of the low; do as the others advise, file complaints on them. If they call back again, do NOT admit to owing anything over the phone; tell them they MUST send you something in writing. And then..... hang up. They can't argue with a dial tone.
