well, pdl's are prohibited in NY so all of these pdl's are illegal.united cash and 500 fastcash are MTE,and considered illegal period.go to the fifth sticky in the payday loan help forum as to how to deal with these places.don't worry you won't go to jail.debts are civil matters, and being as pdl' are prohibited in NY.i doubt these places can do anything.check your bank statements.if anything was debited take it off the original loan amount.that is all you owe.

Payday loan repayment
Ok, I live in Illinois and have 4 or 5 outstanding payday loans. I lost my job on June 5th and have no way to repay them now. I know for a fact that on one of them, I have paid well over $800 for a $400 loan. I also have a car title loan that I took out in November and have been able to pay on time, however, with these payday loans outstanding, I will not be able to make the payments on the car loan. The interest on the car loan in very reasonable. I don't want to lose my car to repossession, but I want to stop these payday lenders from gouging my checking account! I am currently overdrawn several hundred dollars and don't know what to do! Any suggestions?????
