OK...I sent the letter on your link to United Cash Loans and Ameriloan. As per the email, they have not contacted me or my references, HOWEVER, some law office in South Carolina has been on the phone to all of us this mornning. When I called the number they left with one of my references and asked the name and mailing address of their office, they refused to give it to me. Ok....the letter I sent didn't say anything about legal offices. NOW......How the heck do I deal with these guys??

They're trying to scare you. Tell them you want proof you owe the debt. I would guess it is United Cash Loans calling you...I'm dealing with Ameriloan, and short of being locked out of my account once I sent the letter, I've heard nothing from them.

Have you contacted the North Carolina Attorney General and file complaints against these illegal lenders. They are the regulator in your state and will help you through.
