I borrowed 300.00 and they said they renewed my loan and now I owe 510.00. They have already deducted 180.00 from my account so therefore I will have paid them 690.00 (390.00) over what I borrowed. There has to be a law against this somewhere. At the time I really needed this money and now I wish I had just suffered the consequences, I would have come out cheaper. I'm in the state of Louisiana.

There is a law against it but illegal payday lenders are nothing more than criminals and do not follow the law. It would be in your best interest to close your account, understand that it will never be safe again! UCL is not licensed to lend anywhere and will share your personal account information with other online illegal lenders. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Edited for misspelled word. lol

You need to close your bank account immediately! After that withdraw your ACH, wage assignment and file a complaint with the AG, FTC and BBB in your state and theirs. Then send them a copy via email, fax or mail along with a demand for a refund and paid in full letter. You can be assured your personal information will be sold. It happened to me and its a nightmare.

Do what Shazzers and Buzzette say and get that checking account closed. Be sure to talk to the bank maanger and explain what's going on. Send UCL the letter and notification of filing complaints with AG, etc., AFTER you close your account, otherwise they'll try to get in and take whatever money they can. Sad to say, UCL is one of the worst PDLs and they WILL call you with all kinds of outlandish threats, etc. Stand your ground and if you have any questions, this is the place to ask 'em. Keep us posted.
