From 10/02/09 thru 01/22/10, I have paid them a total of $910 thru roll-overs and pay downs. They claim that I owe them $65.00.
I have sent them letters requesting a paid in full and also a cease and desist letter to stop calling me at work. They call me at work every single day, which violates the cease and desist request I mailed to them.
I reside in Arizona and just want to ask the forum: what recourse, if any do I have? At first I just wanted a simple paid in full, but since they've continually called me over and over again, I now want to press for a refund. If this is feasible, how do I go about doing that?

It doesn't hurt to demand a refund, I know I would! As far as them calling you at work, well, I know it's a pain in the butt, but you can't really stop them because they won't listen, they broke the law by not obtaining a license to lend, so I wouldn't expect much cooperation out of them as far as the calls. I wouldn't speak to them at all when they call, just hang up, they will tire sooner of calling if they have no one to argue with. Their sole purpose is to try to intimidate you with false threats. Just ignore them entirely, only converse via email, and make it known you have filed complaints against them, also make it known that you are going to smatter their name all over the Internet so no one else will fall prey to them.

Well, UCL might not call with a live person on the phone but they DO like to call w/ their recorded messages. They've been after me for, what, 2 years? And I've told them in the past they're not getting another penny. If I see any of their phone numbers I recognize, I don't answer; if I answer and I hear the recording, I just hang up.
