These idiots call me everyday on a loan that i supposedly took out in Jan 06 while I lived in Arizona. I live in Texas now and they claim they lent me 300 and are now asking for 580. I have done research and know that they are illegal and unlicensed to lend in any state. How do i make them stop calling me? How do I go about finding legal aid to help me make them quit? I have faxed them and emailed numerous times to C&D. They will not follow my requests. Morally, I know that if I did indeed take this loan, then i should repay. However legally, I don't owe them a dime from my research regarding the laws of Arizona and Texas. They are also giving me conflicting reports. They say that they will settle for 120 according to what i have supposedly paid them but then they also say I owe 580. In my opinion, i will not give these idiots a dime as they are illegal and unlicensed. I have also emailed the state of Oklahoma and they have confirmed that UCL is unlicensed and not allowed to lend in their state. Where do I go from here?

Well, they won't stop calling and threatening you no matter what you say to them. You should report them to the FTC and your Attorney General's office. When they call, don't respond, just hang up, sooner or later they will get tired of talking to thin air. Otherwise, the only other suggestion I have is to change your phone number, these people are ruthless and will try anything to get money!

United Cash Loans will tell you that they ARE legal and that your State government and Attorney General don't know what they're talking about - some nerve, huh? I'm getting calls from them; as soon as they identify themselves, I hang up. (although I have to admit one time when I asked how everything was at MNE, out on the Indian reservation where they operate, they actually hung up on ME!)
