Close account US Bank

I called US Bank today to close the account and will not let me. They say due to the Cash Advance I have on the account. I don't mind paying that off in the next 35 days. Should I simply walk in and request them to put a HARD DEBIT BLOCK? Only thing is I won't be home for the next week and half and got to get this done. Any suggestions?

Go into the bank and speak directly to the branch manager, no one else will do. Was this cash advance an Internet loan? If so, then tell the bank you want to put an ACH block on this payday lender, you have a right to do so and they MUST abide by your request, per the EFTA law.
