I closed my account and sent out letters about a months ago. I was dealing w/Discount advances, ameriloan and usfastcash. I hadnt heard anything from them when I log into the site, tells me to call or gives an error. Ive been checking my junk email and nothing from them. I started getting calls from Ameriloan last week and today usfastcash has started. I refuse to answer, especially in the letter it states, do not call me or my references. What should I do? Change my number? Send another letter? I owe like $60 to usfastcash and $280 from ameriloan but technically ive had a couple of loans from ameriloan so they really should be owing me. I'm willing to pay what i was loaned but not if they arent playing by the rules.

If the payday lenders are not legal in your state, then you will be liable for paying them the principal amount only. As you've already closed the account, you can send them the payments through check and mention the fact that you don't owe any more money to them as they are illegal in your state. I hope this might solve the problem. However, if payday lenders are legal in your state, then you'll be liable for paying the late fees and charges along with the principal amount.

What state do you reside so we can see if they are illegal in your state. US FastCash is illegal in all states. Since you can't access their websites, they received your letters. I would ignore the calls or change your phone number. You don't owe USFastcash anything since they are illegal.

I logged into the sites and was trying to force me into paying all the amount so i simply replied to the emails and pasted my initial letter. Both companies are illegal in Kentucky & from the email format and site format, they are the same company. I'll just keep hitting the ignore button on them.

I would respond to their e-mails by copying my original letter to the response. After a couple of months, they stopped e-mailing me. I had already repaid the amount I borrowed; they were after the fees.

I don't recall them ever calling me. It was 2 years ago when I was in payday loan "hell".
