i would file the complaints.PDM is a true bottomfeeder, and most likely will continue the illegalities after receiving the letter.also it won't hurt to file a complaint with the MO AG as well.always file complaints along with sending the letters.

PDM are truly nasty. They called me yesterday and when I started telling that they're collecting on an illegal loan and that in Maryland such practices are prohibited, that lady got so mad, she started yelling that I'm going to be charged for fraud and then she hung up on me!

Filed my complaint with the MO AG, and letters are going out today to any address I could find. UGHHHH I know I am going to make them really mad on friday when they dont get a call from me paying them money. I think if they call my work again I will remind them about the article I read about the Mo AG filing a complaint agaisnt them. I will keep everyone posted and if anyone has any suggestions in regards to these guys please let me know.

Ok, I need some support here, kind of nervous right now. Tomorrow is the day that this collection company told me I have to make a payment to them for VIPLoanshop. But I am not going to be making this payment since I over paid. I have mailed out all my letters and also filed complaints. 1) Do I call them and tell them I will not be making any payments and I want a debt validation? 2) Should I just leave it be and wait for them to call? they have been calling my work even though I have told them not to.
I am stressing out today. I know I should be stronger but not feeling strong on this one.
Thank you

Let them live in limbo for awhile, they aren't worth your time and effort!

they have been calling your work?you shouldn't be stressing.you should be pissed as all get.you filed the complaints, and there is nothing they can do to you.do not talk to them unless you plan on scorching the earth with them.everyone who calls you is mutated grabage that needs to bully and threaten to make themselves feell better about their wasted lives.i know it's harsh, but i would rather empower you than placate bottomfeeding clowns.again do not even talk to them again until your AG complaints are satisfied.i would inform your AG of the fact that the mopes keep calling your job after sending the c&d letter.
Thank you for all your help. I will just wait to hear from them
Thank you for all your help. I will just wait to hear from them. I have filed complaints with my state AG and thiers plus BBB, Dept. of Corp. and FTC. and yes they have called my work, on 1/4/10 and I told them not to and on 1/11/10 and told them again not to. Plus sent letters out waiting to see if they come back unable to deliver. The one lady on 1/11/10 told me she was calling my work as long as I did not pay. So yes I detailed that in my complaints.

I also filled complaint with BBB and ACA (The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals). PDM has been calling my job even though I sent them a debt validation letter, even though I asked them to stop calling.
Look what I found on PDM website : "Professional Debt Management is a privately held company founded on wholesome family values and conducts business with respect, dignity, and fairness. PDM specializes in the procurement of delinquent account receivables and help creditors liquidate these receivables through extensive training, innovation, automation and analytic"
If respect and fairness means treating clients with abusive language and threats...then I hope BBB and ACA will go after them.
I hope more of us complain against these people, maybe it will make a change!!

Jasgal, maybe it might help if you file a complaint with ACA too. All you have to do is fill in the claim and send it by e-mail. The more of us complain against these scumbags the better will be!

there are 2 companies out there with the same PDM name, one is Proffesional Debt Management and the other is Phoenix Debt Management Associates. so its hard to tell which one they really are. Ok, I made a couple phone calls, I called the number they gave me 877-688-6590 PDM Associates and a number I found for PDM 816-423-8000 , and it sounded like to me it was the same person answering the phone. so I think they are the same.

I was just reading ACA code of ethics and it clearly says that members (like PDM) must
respond to complaints, must stop collection activities once they receive a debt validation request...in other words everything that PDM doesn't do
I noticed there are 2 PDM companies but the one that contacted me was PDM on 7007 NE Parvin. I am not sure but it's possible that the PO BOX was their old address and it's just one company after all?

Oh, I DID IT!!! my hands are shaking. They just called me (at work) from number 816-423-8000, and Mr Hanford tells me I need to pay tomorrow. I start off by telling him this is the 3rd time telling them not to call my work. And then I tell him i am practicing my rights and requesting he send me a validation of my debt. He tried to talk to me and I kept cutting him off and telling him I was practicing my rights and the law states he must prove my debt. He then asked to confirm my address to mail it to. so we will see if it comes. I stayed calm until I hung up. So then I told him I will deal with his company after he proves this is a valid debt and until then DONT CALL AGAIN!!!

I think they are running from the MO Attorney Generals office, I found a article from Aug 2009 saying that the AG was filing charges agaisnt them. You can google (PDM MO. Attorney General) and you should be able to find it. So with that in mind I filed a complaint with my AG in Calif and the one in MO. since last week I have file 2 sets of complaints, I figure I will do 1 a week til someone gets tired of me and does something.

I read the article and I am amazed that PDM agents have the nerve to threaten me with fraud. And I can understand how easy it is to get scared. They sound so damn convincing.
I hope they'll be off my back soon

So I e-mailed ACA back with the account numbers PDM agents gave to me. How crazy is this? First they call me night and day and now they claim they're unable to find me??

I mailed my complaint to ACA last week so I should be hear back too... I probly will get the same response. Oh they will remember me when I am done with them. Maybe the newspaper who ran the first article about the AG filing against them will want to see this response to their follow up. I was thinking that maybe one reason they would rather call our work numbers and not our cells is our cell phone bills will show their numbers calling us if we answer. We would have proof they are calling. Just a thought.
Thanks Shazzers, for a moment I was actually thinking that maybe
Thanks Shazzers, for a moment I was actually thinking that maybe I really don't exist in their collection system :)
Jasgal, I am so glad you also filed with ACA. What are they gonna do now, claim they can't find you either?
And they did call my cell phone a lot; only when I blocked them from calling me they started to call my work number

I closed this account in my system and sent it back to our client we will not attempt to call her again.

I am still waiting for a reply from BBB. That's all I got so far:

02/02/2010 NMBR- No response to first notice to business
Looks like PDM ppl take their time.
And I never heard anything more from ACA either.
I'll keep my fingers crossed!
The phonecalls stopped though and that's great!!!

ok i'm curious about all tis. my husband got called from a lawyer from wade drexler and associates. they said he owed 589.00 for a previous pay day loan that he defaulted on. he told them he thougt he already paid that ( cause he paid another lawyer for what he said was a pay day loan a few months ago) but this lawyer said that he didn't pay them and if my husband didn't pay today they would get him for fraud and he could go to jail so instead of my husband asking for more info on their company and on the account he gave them his debit card number and tey took out 300 dollars today and then the remainder in 2 weeks. is this legit? could they actually put him in jail and how would he go about finding out if he already paid it previously

No, it's a scam! If I were your husband I would go and close out that account asap, also, talk directly to the branch manager and ask if those charges be reversed because you were scammed into believing there was a debt owed but now you have discovered it's a scam! The thing is, if you leave that account opened it will never be safe again, now that this company has your personal account information it wouldn't surprise me if they share it with other illegal payday lenders and who knows who else!
By the way, you can't go to jail for owing a debt.

Well, PDM just messed up big time. They called me today my cell and work telling me I owe money, I then informed her that maybe she needs to keep up with her company cause I have letters from BBB and ACA stating my account is closed and they would not be contacting me again. HUM is this now a legal issue? I told her I will be forwarding my complaints again and I will be attaching the notice that that made. And she was dumb enought to leave a voice mail so I have recorded proof they called. I am going to send out another round of complaints. Not going to put up with their bully staff.
