Has anyone heard of a Paul Walker? I received 2 very nasty voice messages from this man over the weekend on my work phone. He has a very heavy accent. He is wanting information on my attorney and said that I need to call him ASAP or all he can do is wish me luch. I believe this has something to do with Target Cash Now.

I took a $450 loan out with them and found out that they are illegal in my state (Ohio) so I emailed them the letter that I found on this forum. To date, I have paid $101.25 on this but had a previous loan which was paid in full or actually overpaid since they are illegal, so I shouldn't owe them anything.

How should I handle this person? I am very nervous about calling him back.

I also have a loan out with Rise Credit (formerly payday one) which is an internet installment loan. I am can not afford the payments that they are requiring. I have tried talking to them about alternate payment arrangements but they are unwilling to work with me.

Can someone please give me some direction?

originated under Rise on 9/18/2013. So PDO went out of business and RISE took over? And they are still using PDO's license in Ohio. Just want to make sure I have all of the information correct.

Well, Paul Walker just called me at work again. He said that my name has come up as a prime suspect in a crimanal case but he couldn't give me any information. So I told him, I knew the call was a scam and to not call my work again and hung up.

yes to that as rise is tribal,and illegal.now for the call to your work.the way you handled it is great.this is just another loser in INDIA.if he calls again do the same only do not say a word.he will tire of the click.on the PDO/RISE.it is a similar situation to think cash/plaingreen.plaingreen tried to pass off theit initial loans as think cash,but no tribal lender is legal so treat them like it.

I receive these types of calls years later from the US and overseas, They all seem to say things like "complaint against my Social security number". "Have your attorney call". When my attorney did call they refused to talk to him. he was told they were to busy and for him to call back. He could not sue them because they could not be served.His advice was just ignore them and do not answer calls I do not recognize.Unfortunately you can't do that at work. Just hanging up will eventually discourage them Route 66 funding used to call me at work everyday until I told them I was my boss and I fired me for getting too many phone calls and gave them a fake number where I could be reached.

was the loan originated with PDO,OR RISE?yes rise is not legal,and any loans they orignate are not as well.as for the AG complaint some will let you file online using base info like a phone number,or company name.if you have neither just ignore hos sorry slliy self.he cannot do squat to you.

I don't know what company he works for so do I just report to the State's AG with just his name?

So RISE is not legal in Ohio even though payday one was? Can you please give me more information on that?
