I have an online PDL with this company and have paid them well over $1000 for a $500 original loan and ever since i got the loan (which was unclear) i have received threatening phone calls form some east indian that changes his name everytime. HELP!! I live in Washington state and i think they loaned the money illegally. Everytime i try to make arrangments with them (and have several times) they ignore me. I need advice

Are they still taking money from your account? If so close your account or ask your bank to put an ach block on it. The nasty guy that calls is powerless to legally do anything. Just laugh at him and hang up. Do not get into a conversation. They are on commision and if you say anything they become encouraged to keep trying. Just hang up. He will eventually give up.

I emailed them the form letter i found on here and their respnse was that they are goverened by federal law not state law HA HA HA! Exactly what you all said they wouls say my bank blocking all withdrawls from them and they are a small bank so i fell pretty confident they will catch any and all withdrawls they try to make. This forum has been the most helpful for me i am so glad to be done with them taking all my hard earned money seeing as i was giving them $150 every 2 weeks for a few months now i have paid my $500 loan plus astronomical interest!

Just blocking the company name won't work. They will use other names to withdraw that money. If the ACH attempts don't work, they will send a paper check to your bank. The only thing that will work is to close that account and open a new one or to have a new account number assigned. The old and new accounts cannot be linked in any way.

Listen to Ohio Gal1 she is absolutely correct! An ACH will not stop them. Close your account immediately! I live in a small town in AZ and the only thing that can and will stop them is to close your account. If you haven't already done so, you need to file a complaint with the AG, FTC and BBB in your state along with sending a copy to the PDL via email, fax or mail. Demand a PIF letter along with a refund for the amount paid over and above the principle balance. Also be sure to withdraw any wage assignment as well. These creeps will not stop calling, so don't answer the phone or engage them in conversation.

PLEASE listen and follow through with the advise you are being given here. IF you have paid anything over the amount of your orginal loan YOU DO NOT OWE THEM ANOTHER DIME......THEY OWE YOU A REFUND. I PROMISE you the only way to get their attention is to file the complaints as stated above, BBB your state and the state the claim to be legal in, the FTC. And the whole time continue to send them emails stating you are demanding a refund of the money they illeaglly took from you. ONCE you have over paid them....filing complaints will get their attention.

I also used VIP loan shop. I have been paying $180 a month for 7 months on a $300 loan. I should have "SUCKER" printed on my forhead. I am in the process now of disputing the withdrawals from my account and closing it completly. They have a different amount debited each time and I can not block the company, just the amount. Best thing you can do is to avoid these types of loans but if it's too late, close your account immediatly.

Does anyone know who the parent company for VIP is? I keep getting threatening phone calls and e-mails from some east indian saying they are with FinCen and have even sent me some kind legal paper threatening to send me to jail. I lost my job and couldn't pay the whole loan back. I need to find out if these people are legit or not. Thanks.
