Payday loan hell
Date: Wed, 08/26/2009 - 14:38
Hi, I was unemployed for a few months and I got stuck in a payday loan cycle. I could use any advice anyone can offer.
I reside in Washington D.C. and I owe
zip19.com: $800 plus $159 in fees.
discountadvances.com: I've paid $106.25 and it says I still owe 596.25 even though the loan was for $300.
Both loans were internet operations.

In D.C. the internet payday lenders are required to obtain business license from the state authority to operate. You need to confirm the licensing status of these lenders in your state before making the next payment. If they are illegal you're not responsible for repaying more than the amount you have borrowed initially.
