Weird call

I received a weird call today. It came up as a blocked number so I didn't answer. The message said it was from Erin regarding a case that is going to be filed against me for two counts of check fraud because I closed my account. She stated that she had to legally call me and explain this was going to be filed in my county courthouse which she named. She did not leave a company name but an 888 number. I returned her call just now figuring no one would be there because it is very late. The v/m just says hello you have reaches Erin. If you are calling about documents you received please leave the case number in your message. If you are calling about a call you received please leave a name and number. I totally do not think this is legit. I tried to google the number but I am not getting any matches. Should I just ignore it?

It has all the markups of a grade A scam. Ignore the calls for the while. If they call again, ask 'Erin' for the name and physical address of her office. If she refuses, hang up, ignore further calls and file a complaint with your AG, the FTC and the county cops.
