Are these payday loan companies legal?

I live in IL and made the mistake of taking out 3 payday loans in 1 day. Are these payday loan companies licensed/legal. If they are legal I heard that you are only required to pay the principle of the loan no fees or interest, is that true?

I think you wanted to mean illegal lenders because if they are legal then they can charge you both fees and interest. However, with illegal lenders you can avoid paying the charges and interests.
