Well I knew it was too good to be true. I sent PayDayMax the C&D letter with ACH revocation last week and was locked out of my account with reference to call CPD. I waited a few days and then called. On Tues. this week I was told I could pay the remaining principle and the account would be considered PIF. They were supposed to email me the Western Union instructions. Tues. went by no email, Wed. no email so I called yesterday morning and was told my account was PIF, no payment needed. So today is payday and low and behold, two charges from PayDayMax. The total they debited is less that what was left of the prinicple ($40) so I am debating whether to just let it go or dispute the charges. My pickle is I have nothing in writing from CPD saying the account is PIF, even though I requested it. I plan on calling them today to see if they will reverse the charges, but I know that is about as likely to happen as pigs flying. So - opinions? Do I dispute the charges with the bank to get the money back or do I just let it go? My fear is if I let it go they will continue to debit my account every payday for these rinky dink amounts just to piss me off. I know everyone is going to say close your account - but that is not a possibility at this time. Thanks in advance.
