I have recently taken out a $500 loan at Advancemenow but had just lost my job and they are not willing to work with me on the payments. The interest rate on it is 353% for a 31 day loan. I have also just found this site, and never knew that some lenders are illegal. What does this mean and what are my best options?

This is in the state of South Dakota.

Any help is really appriciated!

Payday lenders have to be licensed in your state in order to provide loans. Interest rate alone tells you that they are illegal. On this site, click on forums, then click on payday loan help, then click on sticky on how to deal with unlicensed lenders. Follow every step, do not skip. Also, register with the forum so that you will see answers to your posts.

Also have one out for $450

Also have one out for $450 with Netcash 123. I think I read on here that it is an illegal loan from the virgin islands or something. Anyone know any info on them or will it work to just close my account, shoot them out a letter and pay by mail
