Hi everyone. I too have decided to take the plunge, I am hoping to do this on my own but am concerned about a few things and have a few questions. 1. Will I get calls at work immediately? 2. Will my referenced be contacted? I initially wanted to use a consolidation program but it sounds like I may be able to do it on my own. Here is what I owe and to whom...

CashnetUSA- 1800 paid 765
LoanPointUSA- Owe 400 paid 336
PayDayOne- Owe 500 paid 345
Integrity ADVANCE owe 500 paid 450
Speedcash owe 500 paid 375
500fastcash owe 500 paid 450

How would I go about finding if any of these are illegal? I know cashnetusa is not. I am from Wisconsin. It doesnt look like we have very many laws or regulations regarding this.

If you get calls at work you should send the creditor/collection agency a cease and desist letter. You also have the option to have the account sent back to the creditor from the collection agency if the collection agency hasn't bought the loan.
Your references can only be contacted if the creditor/collection agency has not been able to make contact with you. The creditors and collection agencies can only ask how to get in touch with you and cannot talk to your references about the debt.

Yes, you can settle this yourself.
Cashnetusa offers an extended payment plan, they won't tell you about it, you have to ask for it. They are legal.

LoanPointUSA is NOT legal, all you owe them is $64.

PayDayOne
also offers an extended payment plan, they are legal.

Integrity ADVANCE
is not legal, you owe them $50.

500fastcash is NOT legal, you owe them $50.

Speedcash or Speedycash?

You need to close your account, and CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

All of these are the original creditors, a cease and desist letter only applies to a 3rd party collector, according to the FDCPA.
