I closed my acct (Please help)

Jay, I thought we went thru this yesterday.Weren't you going to call your bank to see about the money coming out at midnight? Calm down, go to the bank. Speak to the manager, and explain that theses deductions were not authorized, and are fraudulant.

I agree with kashzan, jaydanielle. Sign an affadavit with the bank that these charges are not authorized. They will return the debits to the PDL as unauthorized and refund you the money. Did you send the PDL the letter revoking authorization?

i didnt know about a letter revoking authorization, do you have an example letter?

and yes i did call and they said that nothing was coming through

i spoke with the bank they are telling me that i would most likely have to cover that and that the acct would have to stay open until i pay, so now i am writing a letter to the bank requesting that they freeze my acct

Dont write a letter to the bank. You need to go inperson, and speak to the branch manage. A letter will do nothing

put your account on DEPOSIT only status. The letter I am referring to is the letter that should of been sent to the PDL's revoking their authorization. Did you send one to them yet?

i havent send anything to the pdl's but i will do that today, and i tried to put my acct on deposit only they told me that i couldnt do that, so my only other option was to freeze the acct.

jay-The letter that you got from LMK to send to the PDL's revokes debit authorizations.....have you sent your letters out yet? We gave you the addresses too if I remember correctly.

Jay, If you prefer to do it the way the bank suggested you do it, by letter, please do not get all excited when things start to hit your account. We strongly reccommend going in person and talking to the branch manager. That is how it worked for us.By all means however do it any way that you chose.

You can...but did you actually sent it to the PDL's?

You really NEED to get those letters out to the PDL's so you can Honestly say that their debits are unauthorized. Remember you authorized it to begin with, so now you have to revoke the authorization in order to say that the debits are unauthorized.

Fax, email and/or mail.....send those letters and keep confirmations too.

Jay, You are going to be ok, don't worry. I know how stressfull this is, and it takes some time and effort, but it can be done! Hopefully everything will work out with your bank. I would take copies of my letters to revoke to show the person you are working with. Any and all info will help. Be sure and keep copies of everything you do and receive for later if you need them.

I am out of the PDL cycle and cc debt, and only have one stupid CA I am dealing with--you will get there too!
