Hello-

I live in California. I recently got a PDL through Zip 19. I have had a few through them, I defaulted once, but was able to promptly pay through Western Union. Anyways, I lost my job this week so the payment they were going to process was denied by the bank. I recieved the e-mail letter from Zip 19 that they payment didn't go through and my new balance including the additional fees they added on for the payment being denied.

I know that in California, they can only charge me a total of $300, so this is what I intend to pay (I loaned $400), With all fees I know owe them over $530. I e-mailed them and told them I could split the payment into 3's, but with my just lossing my job I couldn't pay it all at once.

My question is, can or will they keep running the transaction through my bank to try and collect even though I e-mailed them and told them I will pay in split payments through Western Union (I don't know if they will agree to this, but this is the only way I could even begin to pay them back)? There will be money in there when I start getting unemployment checks, but obvioulsy I can't have it all go to them, and I don't want them to get all my money with one try since my money will be limited anyways. Anyone have any idea? I have Bank of America and they said they can't do any sort of block on ACH's or "hard debit blocks" as someone on here mentioned. I don't really want to close my account, I just want to know if Zip 19 will keep trying to re-proccess the payment through my bank?

very possible they will keep trying to process! And each time the transaction is denied they will add on additional fees that you supposidly owe them.

In my opinion the best course of action for you would be to close your account immediately.

And as far as Bank Of American, I have never heard of a bank that wasnt able to block ach transactions. Especially in todays times where idenity theft is running rampid.
