I have 5 outstanding payday loans from online payday lenders. I live in the state of Ohio, and need to know what I should do to stop them.

zip19.com
247greenstreet.com
paydayone.com

I am going to go to my bank to change account numbers. I have the sample letter to send for wage assignments. Is it illegal to close my account though if a payment should be coming out of it on Friday? Do I need to contact the PDL's and tell them what I am doing?

Thank you for your immediate help!

Paydayone is legal in the state of Ohio.

You need to contact them and set up an extended payment plan. Set up an alternate way to pay them (pre-paid debit card, etc.)

They will work with you.

The others are not licensed. You need to close your accout and then send them the unlicensed lender letter (you can find a sample here).

If you've already repaid them the principal amount of the loan, you owe them nothing further. If you still owe them something, demand a mailing address to send money orders for payment.

They're going to argue with you. They want your money. You need to give a copy of your letter, where you revoked ACH and wage assignment authorization, to your employer, for your protection.

Tell your friends and family members that you've been a victim of fraud and that they are to ignore the calls. Talking to these people, arguing with them, etc. just adds fuel to the fire. You must either not answer the call or simply pick up the phone and hang up.
