I live in Washington State. I am in default on a payday loan to Zip19. Ecare has been calling me and I finally talked to them. I wanted to close my checking account and make sure everything was secure before I got them upset. I talked to them and the lady was rude. Basically she said the next step is to put a wage assignment at my work. Will they do this? I asked her for an email address and she said they don't have one, I can only contact her through phone. I wanted the email so I could send her the letter i wrote revoking all authorizations. I could try and email zip19 the letter, but I'm guessing that won't get to Ecare. I emailed my HR department, and they told me they said ecare called for a verification of employment. When I was on the phone with Ecare I asked them for a letter of collection to be mailed to me, they said they didn't have to mail that. I told them that as a collection agency they have to follow certain procedures, such as the ones I read on this forum. She told me no, its my responsibility to pay them, and that if I don't pay them today, the next step is they are doing the wage assignment. I'm nervous, what do I do? Does someone have an email for them so I can revoke authorizations? Does my work have to allow the wage assignment since I authorized it when I signed the contract? Thank you for any help.

I'm about to default to Zip19 as well. As of April 1st, they haven't been paid by me, but they haven't called me yet, but they probably will. I sent the letter to customercare@zip19.com I'm in NY and they are illegal here too.
Let us know what happens. But I don't think they can do a wage assignment.

I sent the email to customercare@zip19.com as well to revoke the wage assignment, but does this usually work? Will they follow through with the revoke, or will they act like they never received it and just carry on with business as normal? I know there is no way to know for sure, but what is the general previous practice from these companies?

well as long as you give a copy of the revocation to your HR,or payroll it shouldn't matter because your employer won't honor the assignment.just make sure you give a copy of that revocation to them asap.btw illegal pdl's have one basic practice.to seperate you from as much of your money as possible.everything they do centers on that.

I sent an e-mail to the above e-mail address for ZIP 19 along with another e-mail I have for them at js@blizzardi.com yesterday ( 4/12 ) and I received a response via e-mail from them with a letter attached today ( 4/13 ) saying that "they have ceased all collection activities and communication by telephone and that a letter cancelling the voluntary wage assignment has been forwarded to my employer and any funds received by this manner will be returned" So unfortunatly my paycheck is in my account tomorrow ( 4/14 ) so it wasn't in time for that to be stopped but it is supposed to be returned to me according to them ( $160 something dollars ) so we shall see.... but the letter being e-mailed does work apparently. I attached the revocation letter to the e-mail I had sent them and wrote in the actual e-mail that thier practices were illegal and that I attached my letter revoking thier right to use the "wage assignment" and that if any funds were taken that there would be legal action brought upon thier company... then.... the next day they say they are cancelling it.
