Also you should close your bank account if these pdl's are internet pdl's and take money directly out of your account. Unfortunately that is the only way that you will be able to gain control over your financial situation is if you close that account. Open a new account at a totally different bank because if you stay with your current bank there is a strong possiblity that your new account could be tapped into by these pdl's due to a clerical error.

Be sure to read the link on closing you checking account..it is very important. Someone will be along soon with your state laws and the legality of the pdl's. They will also give you advice and insigght on dealing with paying what you owe. Also, you may want to read the sticky on top of the fourm regarding Cash Call. They are not considered a pdl becuase they are backed by Bank of Deleware and you must be careful when dealing with them. As for them calling your job, there is not much you can do there. They will call. I know right now you are not sure what to do first and everything seems to be comming at you at once. If you do not understand something or are confused ask...you get an answer pretty quickly around here. Everyone here will suport you and guide you through this.

Sorry about that..It is posted at the top of the Pay Day Loan Help (New) page that lists all the different posts. It is listed under Special Topics at the very top of all the posts... It is the second one down marked Important...read before you close your account.. That should work..I tried it beofre I responded.

Please pay close attention....are all the loans internet?? Any store fronts or installment loans will be legal and you need to make arrangements with them first ...they can and will take you to court for defaulting.

First go to your state's attroneys web site or the Dept. of Financial Institutions and check to be sure none of these are licensed in your state to loan.

If they are not licensed...you will have to close your account to get control of your money again. You can send the ipdls letters to cease and desist, calling you, debiting your account, revoking any wage assignments. Then you can email them or call them to make payments arrangements on the balance you legally owe.

The ones you say are to be PIF on 09/01 and 08/27 - are they debiting the full amount from your bank account on those days?

And what do you mean "is thinkcash a pdl"? Did you get it over the internet like the other pdl's?

Also, you need to send Sonic a letter revoking any wage assignment you may have signed with them ASAP. They are an very illegal overshore company that will send your employer a wage assignment to get "their" money. A wage assignment is voluntary on your employers part. However, some employers do not know this and will give them the money out of your check. You need to revoke this ASAP before Sonic has the chance to send anything to your employer. Keep a copy, give a copy to your payroll person, and send Sonic the letter.

Thanks, I didn't read the first page . . . . I just saw they were from this side of the US and saw them questioning if they were legal . . . . Cannr is right about the internet based one being unlicensed.

Washington has taken some action in the past against illegal payday lenders. So be sure to file complaints against all these companies that are operating illegally. You may get some help from your state government.
