One more down!!

I just paid off a small account last week. Its not much,but it is a great feeling of accomplishment to take another one off the books.

...Thanks guys-yeah it does feel good. I'm going to take all but fifteen dollars and pay towards another bill,that is,all but the fifteen from the IRS payment,and use that for extra gasoline money.Since I have been paying them for a while,I won't miss that money and it might as well go towards paying off something else! :) ...Karen

That's great, Karen!! I tried to respond earlier but I guess it didn't show up....anyway, the IRS is a big one to have off your shoulders!! Congrats :)

Thanks Mary :) Yeah,I get nervous about owing them money :lol: We also got a $600.00 bill from them on some work my husband never did,so for all of you,check out EVERYTHING don't assume because it is the IRS or a bill collector,it is correst. In this case, his company sent in a forn for working a job he didn't work. We sent a letter from the company and it was straightened out. I used to think because they say it ,it was true. Now I know better!...Karen

Yep, situations like that really suck - where a miscommunication like a piece of paper turns into a family being stuck with a bogus debt to the government. Ugh! At least it's cleared up now!!
