Hi everyone! I thought I would explain a little more about exactly what happened to me with my PDL distaster waiting to happen. If anyone's ever had the problems I'm having, I would love to hear your story, and find out what happened to you, how you dealt with it, and how you ultimately fixed your problem...

Each of my loans are from store front lenders, and they are rather huge amounts. All six of them together total to a very huge amount that now totals way beyond what I net every two weeks from my job. It's that way because I got hooked on taking out the loans, and the amounts just got bigger and bigger as I tried to keep up with my bills, and pay the loans as well. It's gotten to the point now that I'm using one loan to pay off another, and another, and another, and by the time I've paid off the last loan, I only have a few hundred dollars left over to pay my other bills, and that's now not enough to pay my other bills. I now can't pay back the loans because they have become to costly, plus I was recently denied a loan because I have several outstanding.

I want my paycheck back so much, I can taste it! I want to be able to pay my bills again without having to use PDLs, and I don't want to be borrowing/paying back PDLs over and over again. But my situation is very unique, I've realized, because of the fact that they are not online PDLs. The worst mistake I ever made was taking out that first PDL so long ago. I thought it would be a quick fix for my minor financial issue at that time; now it's become a huge nightmare that may not have an end in sight. I have no idea if T&C can help me with this because of the fact that the loans are not online PDLs. I'll be talking to them on Monday, and I'm praying that they can help me. If they can't, and if I can't get the lenders to agree to me making payments on a longer term basis with them, I don't know what I'm going to do.

I'm very sorry for dumping all of this on everyone, but this is the only place in the world I've found that I can talk about this at, and get some support and advice. My family doesn't understand any of this, and neither do my friends. You guys seem to understand, and I appreciate that. But, my situation is a unique one, and not everyone has the kind of problem I have, I'm realizing. I just hope I come out of whatever happens in tact, and sane.

Thanks for reading this. Hopefully, you've got a clearer understanding of what I'm going through. I hope T&C will be able to help me. I'll keep you posted on what happens.

...Dee Dee,there's alot of people in this forum who have been where you are, don't give up hope, there is always a solution. First like you said, talk to T$c, my problems are credit cards, not pdls. If T&c can't help you, they might be able to tell you of an agency that can. Don't try to take a loan to pay all of these. A loan to pay a loan will only keep you on that vicious cycle.Take a deep breath, and wait to talk to T&C .There ar others in this forum who may be able to guide you as to what they have done. Keep us posted-hang in there :) ..Karen

DeeDee,

Karen is right, there are many of us here that can relate. Before I came back to the forum, I was trying to qualify for new loans because I had no money left over each payday to pay any bills or buy groceries. It was a very low point. I'm sorry you also reached that point.

Also, please don't feel you are alone in having loans with only storefront lenders. I had only one, but I know several people here that had storefront loans and as jj wrote in another message, the storefront lenders seem to be much easy to work out a payment arrangement with than the online lenders. It's the online lenders that seem more likely to make illegal threats and call employers and friends.

Even though the circumstances that led us into the payday loan cycle will be different for each of us, we share a common bond of burden and stress that few we know in real life (outside this forum) would be able to understand. And we are here to support each other.

I have just recently started with T&C and when I asked about PDL's they said yes they deal with them. I didn't ask about storefronts or online ones, they just said yes they dealt with them. Mine were all online, but I took it to mean that they deal with all kinds. You have come to the right place---we have or all are still in the same type of financial situation and are trying to fix it.

And true, no one else can understand this type of situation unless they have been in it before. Please continue to consider this forum a place where you can find people who identify and understand.

DeeDee, I can surely relate to what you are saying. I did the same thing with store front lenders. I took out one loan because I was in a jam, when I went to repay it they offered to reloan. So, foolishly I did just that. Then a few weeks later I needed extra money so I took out a second one, in a few months I had 5 payday loans and was having to constantly find a new company to borrow from to just cover the fees. Finally, I decided I had to do something about it. I have a good job but I was always short on cash because of the pdls and I didn't want to continue this way. I mailed certified letters to all the lenders explaining that I was not able to pay the amounts in full but I was including a payment of $25.00 and would pay that every 2 weeks until the balance was paid. All of the pdls but I accepted that and allowed me to pay them what I could afford.

I would also, suggest that you change your checking account or do a stop payment otherwise they will try to cash the checks they are holding.

Good luck to you.

Thanks so much, everyone, for all the help and support you're giving me. I just got off the phone with T&C, and they said that they are able to help me with my storefront PDLs. Thank the Lord! I'm going to the library in a little bit to pick up T&C's fax (the library in my community will let you use their fax machine for a small fee), and I'll fill out the forms, and fax them back to T&C ASAP. I won't be able to send my initial payment/fee to T&C until Friday, May 12th because I won't have the payment/fee until then, but as soon as I have it, I'm sending it! Then T&C said they would start calling the PDLs that day, and set up the consoldiaton program with them.

T&C did suggest the same thing you guys suggested that I put stop payments on the outstanding checks, then close out my account and open a new one once I get my employer to stop sending my paycheck to my current account.

I know I still have a lot of things to go through yet before the light at the end of the tunnel overshadows the darkness I'm seeing now, but at least I'm beginning to see the tiny pinpoint of light at the end of the tunnel. LOL, I hope that made sense! I just pray that the PDLs will work with T&C, and none of the PDLs manage to find some way to get my bank to cash the checks. I'm sure I'll be coming back here often asking questions and updating you all on what's going on with me. For now, I feel I can breathe a little easier. The end of the week is when things might start to get dicey for me, but hopefully God will bring me through it all still in tact. Thanks again, everyone, for your support, help, and understanding. It's greatly, greatly appreciated. :D

I do have one question: Since T&C will begin handling my situation on Friday, should I contact the PDLs before Friday, and let them know I'm putting them in debt consolidation, or should I just let T&C tell them that when they call the PDLs to set up the consolidation process? I forgot to ask T&C that question. Any advice you could give me regarding my question, I thank you in advance! :D
