I received an email from these people saying my loan applicated was being reviewed. I got into payday loan trouble last year, so I KNOW for a fact I did not and would not every apply for another payday loan. I don't even have a checking account anymore. What do I need to do? How did they get my info?

The payday lenders will fill your email with offers for another loan. We have consolidated our loans and are already getting calls for another loan. I simply hang up the minute I find out what the call is about. Payday loans are a means of destruction financially and I have learned a hard valuable lesson.

Guest,

I can only assume that the payday loan lenders got your information from others doing business in this industry. Although it is illegal, but some payday loan companies share the data with others and carry on the business.

Keep in mind, inquiries in your credit report from such lenders that have not been authorized by you will reduce your credit scores. Monitor your credit report very closely and if you suspect anything, take necessary actions so that your credit worthiness is retained.

Write a letter to Quick Payday giving it some legal importance. Mention that you are not interested to take any loan from them and therefore remove your details from their system. If they do anything that hurts your credit ratings, you will take legal actions against them.

The majority of payday lenders use Teletrack and not the three major credit bureaus. That is why it's so easy to get these types of loans in the first place. Quick Payday is under some legal trouble right now as well. You can get a copy of your teletrack report as well. I do so recently and do not know some of the inquiries on there.

Hi jd5351

You can order a copy of your Teletrack report at the following address.

Teletrack, Inc.
Customer Service
Suite 800
155 Technology Parkway
Norcross, Georgia 30092
Ph: 800.729.6981

All the payday loan businesses report the consumer accounts to Teletrack. They mainly view your report to find out if you have faced any of such problems like:

  • Charged-Off Accounts
  • Current Open Advances
  • Previous Inquiry Records
  • OFAC Activity
  • Landlord/Tenant Court Record Data
  • Social Security Number Information
