late fees and over the limit fees charged by my creditors

I know when we did a debt consolidation, our creditors stopped all late fees and over the limit fees. They also lowered the interest rates on our accounts by in one case about 20% in others more like 10-15%. All collection calls have stopped. And our 15 thousand dollars of debt will be gone in less than three years!
