I couldn't even understand this guy...
I've been paying them thru T&C, now I'm just gonna pull that account and fight them alone.
I talked to the investigator here, and they are not listed anywhere in florida as a collection agency.
I did a phone lookup at bbb.org, and they are listed as "United Federal Bank" here in florida. what a joke!
I checked out Florida Statutes and the use of the term "bank" in any unlicensed company is a felony! lol
I drafted a long letter and called them back for their fax number, which took some doing, but they finally gave it to me. It's definately not the one on my contract.
We'll see how this goes...those fools..i'm sick of them! :twisted: :evil:

I really laughed at this guy on the phone..I spoke so fast and talked over him so much that he couldn't get a word in...I was telling him he needed to verify this account, I demand a letter to validate, your threats are no good here, how dare you threaten me, this is the united states, etc...
It was actually kinda fun! I had him stuttering...Oh well...will be faxing my letter in am.
I'm going to staples to do it since I don't want them to know my fax number at work. The investigator here told me to throw in his business card in the fax and have him call! That should be a hilarious phone call!

Platinum B is a super big joke! They contacted me way back when, before I learned a lot from this forum (thanks!!), the guy couldn't speak a lick of English and tried throwing big words at me, that really, I don't even think were real. :) When I finally realized they weren't legit, I called the original lenders and they told me that Platinum B or United Legal Bank were not legit and to just hang up on them or have some fun!! I did have some fun with them. Now if they call, which they do every so often, I just tell them that the accounts are being paid off and they need to just throw their files away because they are running out of people to harass!!
