I heard that debt consolidation is a bad idea because, even though it clears your debt for oyu, it is looked on poorly by creditors in the future. Has anyone else heard the same thing?
Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel

Welcome to the forums.

Many people have this confusion before taking the debt consolidation program, but it's only after you have used it, you realize the positive consequences of it.

A debt consolidation program is designed to boost your financial ratings in front of your lenders. At this situation, when your credit file is perhaps messed up, you need better ways to improve it.

The main objective is to restore a good credit rating of the consumer and entering into this program will make it happen faster and more securely.

This program will appear in your file as long as you are in it. Once you have completed it, it will be removed from your file. During this period, the creditors will appreciate your responsibility of taking care of the past accounts and improving your credit worthiness. Though, there might be a difference in the rates of interest between you and someone who is in the verge of completing the program, but overall this program will be the best choice for you if you are considering reshaping your credit ratings.

Your accounts that are included in the program are closed or frozen during this period. This is done so that you don't build additional debt in your account. Otherwise, it will seem like chasing a moving target and the plan will perhaps, take longer time to complete. Once you have finished all your payments, all your accounts will be activated giving your credit identity a new overview.

I suggest you to take this program if you are serious in improving your file and increase your credit scores. This will be of great help to you in the long run. If you have anything that still needs clarification, please do let me know.

Roxette

Hi Michel,

You can take it from me that debt consolidation is the best option if you complete the program and get over with your debt, I have personally gone through a debt consolidation program a few years back and have paid off all my dues and i am sure that none of my present creditors have any problem with that.

Debt consolidation is much better than having debts !

Bye
Vincent

Daniel, look at my date of joining in this forum. Perhaps, I am among the few who is using the consolidation program with this company for quite some time. The amount of debt listed in the program was also huge. I have seen my credit score's graph inclining and this has all been due to the regular payments made towards my account. Thanks to this program because the payments were very affordable for me.
