Has anyone used the new website that is called prosper? It's kinda like ebay, but to find loans.

I am a member there, and it is legitimate. I haven't personally borrowed or loaned from there. They pull info from your experian credit report to "Score" you (they use the Experian ScoreX model, so it's not your FICO, or your regular Experian score) and they give you a letter grade. You can join borrowing groups and such there. I will wait a while before I actually borrow or use the website though, mostly because my credit sucks and I have nothing to really borrow for :)

If a person has a legal contract with the company, the agreement will indicate legal actions against the person defaulting on the loan amount. This might take place in the form of judgments, garnishments or similar actions.

The company will file a case against the defaulter in the court with all evidences to prove the facts. However, if there is a genuine reason that the person is not ignoring the debt or if he is making efforts to clear the debt, the judge will make decisions in his favor.
