Chat Postings

Though it has been suggested before,there is no other way to know if someone is in the chat room, so these posts are made. tey tend to clutter up the forum and take up server and bandwidth space. How would the community feel about this:
Delete previous "chat" (or similar) postings. Start a single new sticky post that one of the moderators can clean out or update daily where people can post when they are in chat? IF this is ok with everyone, I'll work on it. Please let me know what you think.

Good call, LCW! And good presence of mind. :) That's the moderator's voice. I will say a 'sticky' to be a good option. Our regular members will be aware about the sticky but new members will take time to notice it. By that time, they might come up with a new topic again. Just a thought, but I liked your sticky idea. It's different.

For the chat posting, I have another idea too. I can see the Group event section is left attended; can we use it for this purpose? We can post our convenient time when we can become online prior to the date so that others can track us.
