KS, we have something in common! My daughter's now fiance popped the question New Year's Eve. It was kind of cute the way he did it. He asked her to come into the living room, that he needed to talk to her. She said he had candles lit and music playing. He said, "Jenn, I don't think I can be your boyfriend anymore." She said, "Really? Why not?" He said, "I can't be your boyfriend anymore because I want you to be my wife!" She said it took her five minutes to say yes because all she could say was, "Oh my gosh!"
This is my first time being a mother-in-law, too! We'll have to compare notes! Have they set a date yet, or is it too soon? Jenn and Eric were going to get married next year, but they decided to get married this August!! She said she's going to be 30 this year, so they don't want to wait a year and a half (hopefully so they can give me more grandchildren!).

Mute805, Thanks. Eric is a wonderful guy. My daughter has a 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, and Eric treats her as if she were his biological daughter, which is an added blessing. Eric's parents are great, too.

The funniest thing is, that he's Spanish (from Madrid and talks like Antonio Bandaras) AND his mom speaks no English!! I need to learn Spanish to avoid an international incident...
